BIBLE CLASSES

Our study of the Bible will be varied and dynamic.  It will include video, audio, live presenters and a lot of self-study.  Some of the methods we will use are described below.  Our hope is to give you a full understanding of the gospel - from cover to cover - or at least as much as we can in our time together.

THROUGH THE BIBLE

Through the course of the year you will study through the entire Bible with Chuck Smith (founder Calvary Chapel) on CD. As you listen to Chuck Smith teach his way through the entire Bible you will maintain a journal of notes, views and ideas that will become your personal ministry commentary.  This will also provide a platform of discussion on doctrinal and positional views.

JOURNALING

In addition to the Bible journal mentioned above you will keep a personal journal that will track your journey through the year.  Your challenges and frustrations.  Your victories.  How you feel and what you've learned each day.  Expectations for both journals will be discussed in detail and journals will be collected each week for review.

COMPUTER STUDY METHODS

Each student will receive a laptop computer as a part of their tuition. The computer will include Bible study software which you will learn to use with fluency. Assignments will include expositional studies,  topical studies, and sermons  as you learn to decipher the mysteries of God's word through interpretation of the original languages in which it was written.  Students already owning a laptop computer can opt for a reduction in tuition. as long as you are willing to load mandatory software onto your system (a Bible study program and a filter/accountability program).

TOPICAL AND OTHER

Although topical classes, music classes, practical ministry and etc. are not officially part of our "Bible Curriculum" all classes will be rooted in the Word of God.  Everything will do will have it's foundation in God's Word in principle and practice.
