OVERVIEW

Overview Part One            Overview Part Two

WHAT IS THE REV PROGRAM? The REV Program is a 12 month, intensive Bible based discipleship program.

Our intent is to train and disciple Christians in their relationship with the Lord and provide opportunities of service,  giving them a well rounded discipleship and ministry training experience, balancing theological studies, evangelism and community outreach & service.  Yeah, so basically, you'll learn lots and work really hard.

This program will provide a platform first and foremost for Spiritual enrichment and growth, and then for practical expression of that Spiritual growth.  This is accomplished through a blending of daily in depth Biblical study courses and then serving in various areas of outreach. Primary areas of academic focus will be:

SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY
DOZENS OF TOPICAL COURSES
MUSIC THEORY
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT INSTRUCTION

In addition to the academics there will be a large component of Practical Application and Projects. You'll be able to immediately put into practice all of the new skills and knowledge that you will be developing.

WHY SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR THIS PROGRAM?   Too many young people have an incredibly shallow faith in America. In our affluence and leisure we find it to easy to just blend in with our fellow man. We live in the lukewarm waters of compromise and, in consequence, frequently miss out on the awesome power of God working in and through us. We find ourselves powerless to change our own lives and the lives of the people around us.

Honoring God by taking a year to completely focus upon Him; to draw near to Him and to get to know His character will RADICALLY change your life. The closer you get to God and the better you get to know the character of God, the more you will begin to emulate Him and receive the power of His Holy Spirit in your life.

Challenge yourself to completely focus on God for a year.  You will be amazed at what He will do with that time!

WHO SHOULD APPLY? High school graduates between the ages of 18 and 26 who meet the following criteria:

Regular and active participant (for at least six months) in your church.

Willing to learn and grow within the confines of The Salvation Army Doctrines and Positional Statements. (Our learning will all be within the framework of our beliefs. You need not be in complete agreement with them, but you must be willing to concede to these doctrines and statements while you are in the REV Program.)

Willing to live communally at Camp Gifford, and other assigned locations, for one year.

Possess basic literacy, writing and computer skills.

Willing to live with the boundaries and rules put into place for the comfort and safety of all involved in the REV Program and living at the camp. This requires great humility.
